Waiting for death...

a1y_puff...Of my kitty.
Yes, again. This time it's the one that came to my house on New Year, the one with legs injury.
Ever since she came, she couldn't walk, coz her hind legs were broken... perhaps. And there were also some nasty-looking scrapes on her legs, lower back and thighs. A kid around here said she was bitten by a stray dog, thus the injured legs.
Even though she couldn't walk and moved by dragging her hind legs, in a few days after she came here, she was pretty much healthy. She had quite an appetite too. Lately, she even moved around outside the house. Before I left for my sleepover on Monday, she was fine.
Yesterday when I got home, I noticed she's gotten much thinner and wouldn't eat anything. This morning, she still wouldn't eat, so I started thinking that maybe... she was at her limit.
And apparently, I was right.
Just a while ago I found her struggling to stand on her front legs but she couldn't, and she seemed panicked. I picked her up and put her to where she usually slept. I tried to force her to drink but she couldn't. She spilled the water out again.
She didn't have much strength left, so I covered her with a cloth, and she finally settled and closed her eyes, but she was still breathing.
I checked her a few minutes back, and her body was starting to get cold. I wasn't sure if she's gone yet, so I decided I'd wait for a litte more time.
Maybe, after I finish typing this entry, she'd be gone already...
I honestly feel kind of relieved. It's been painful for her all these times, with all those injuries.. I had thought that maybe she'd adapt living even with her hind legs disfuncitoned, but maybe it was too much. And her wounds wouldn't heal tho I've given her medicines. Maybe, it's better this way...
...and I think I'm starting to get used to my kitties dying... I haven't even shed a single tear since Skippy died last week. I feel rather numb, i guess.

My parents are out of town now, and so is my brother. I'll have to dig up a grave by myself now, I think... Just when I'm alone at home, death thinks it'd be a good company for me, huh?
