A/N:A quick birthday gift for asara_rain. I was checking my inbox and then there was a message “asara_rain’s birthday is June 4” and I checked my calendar and was like “OMG it’s tomorrow!!”. so I immediately forced a muse out XD

Oh, this belongs in the same universe as "Moments With You". Reading it isn’t really necessary though it would help understanding their setting. Take it as a sidefic or something? :D

Tezuka likes to watch Fuji sleep. Ever since they live together, he has seen Fuji sleeping numerous times, yet he never gets bored of it. In his waking moments, Fuji would mostly smile. He has seen hundreds of Fuji’s smile; friendly smile, mischievous smile, genuine smile, scheming smile, teasing smile… name it. Fuji has a lot of smiles, and Tezuka has seen them all, he thinks.

Yet in his sleep, Fuji barely smiles. Fuji’s sleeping face is serene, even without his default smile attached on it. Sometimes, when Miko decided to play with his master long hair while the boy is sleeping, Fuji would frown and pout in his sleep. It’s quite refreshing to see Fuji without his smile. It is as if seeing the resident genius without his mask.

Today though, the prodigy seems to be having a nightmare. He has this expression close to fear, and is sweating while mumbling incoherently.

In his waking moments, Fuji Shuusuke does not show fear.

Worriedly, Tezuka sits down beside the sleeping youth and strokes his long, fair hair as gentle as he could manage. When it doesn’t work, Tezuka rub his back in a soothing manner, bending forward to whisper comforting words of ‘it’s okay’ and ‘it’s just a dream’ to Fuji’s ears.

After a few seconds, Tezuka feels Fuji’s body has relaxed. Tezuka keeps caressing his head to further comforting the smaller boy. Soon, he can feel Fuji leans to his touch. His breathing is even; he has calmed down.

Tezuka smiles. It’s not that he likes to see Fuji having nightmares, but… it is indeed refreshing to see different expressions Fuji offers in his sleeps.

As he takes a glance at Fuji’s serene looking face, Tezuka decides he definitely likes him without his mask.

It's nice to know that even in dreamland, Fuji recognized Tezuka's presence! And Fuji drops his guard while sleeping because he trusts Tezuka!

I don't know of Fuji's dream.. since it's Fuji the dream can be as weird as being kidnapped by aliens who want to examine his ingenious brain or something like that, but then the leader of the aliens happened to be Tezuka, and he immediately ordered the other aliens who held him captive a hundred laps around the spaceship and saved Fuji's head still on it's place? XD
