Wow, my birthday this year is a happy one indeed. first, I turned 20. Then, my usually annoying brother was being nice.
he bought me a black forrest with his own money x3 I never thought he'd do that, really.
He didn't say anything, my mom told me about it ^^;
He didn't say "Happy Birthday" and I didn't say "Thank You". I think we both feel that there's no need for words.
We're awkward with words when it comes to things like showing affection or such. We've never even said "Sorry" or "Thank you" to each other XD;;
But well, we're siblings and only a year apart so we don't really need words I think ^^;

Anyway I'm so surprised that I got many b'day gift from my f-list! I only expected 3 fics since only tacuma811, dhorz and vierblith_tefu said they were going to write me b'day fics, but then I found some of you guys also gave me b'day gifts! I'm so happy!

<sup>Rants: Well, looks like the government wasn't joking about the blocking... now they have FREAKINGLY BLOCKED YOUTUBE!!!
Seriously, what are those idiots thinking?? D< I hope they will NOT block LJ as well >.<
For my fellow Indonesian folks, if you want them to unblock youtube please sign the petition HERE if you have not. I dunno if it will work but signing it won't hurt anyway >_>

Oh, I just foud out that they blocked youtube because of FITNA a Movie from the Netherlands that caused a ruckuss here. but still... It's NOT a reason to BLOCK youtube and other video sites!!!

Oh, and here's the trick to UNBLOCK the BLOCKED sites (Indonesian only by the way) CLICK HERE for info and HERE too

I'm glad you had a good birthday. Sorry I couldn't get you a gift. I'm glad your brother was nicer to you. My little brother wouldn't do that. In fact, there were times he treated me worse on my birthdays and holidays to ruin them for me.

Your government is stupid and unreasonable. How could they block YouTube? They better not be blocking other sites.

It's true that some children are more mature than adults. I've always known that becoming an adult would make things more complicated. That's one reason I didn't want to grow up. I was so willing to exchange my life to not grow up. I still hold most of the same values and principles I did when I was a child. Some of my interests still remain the same.

Growing up, my parents nailed into me the value of responsibility and not blaming others. They kept scolding me for blaming my mistakes on others and saying I was irresponsible. I found that blaming others doesn't make me feel better. At times, it makes me feel worse. Then again, it depends on the person I blame. If that person is rude, mean, or bad in any other way, they I like to blame it on them. However, at times, I find that blaming them only makes me hate them more and increases my anger towards them.

I saw the replies on your new e-mails. I know what you mean. I get a lot of spam, too, but it's a hassle to change e-mail address and notifying everyone.

Harmless jokes are fine, but not ones on serious things.

I think I don't want to grow up either, if it won't make me a better person (it might worsen me actually) Even now, I felt like my principle and how I see the world have already changed then when I was a child.

My brother just likes giving me a hard time because he has a bad personality, and finds it fun. I still recall as a child, there were times when I complained, "This is not my day," and he would say, "I'll make everyday not your day." He also said things like, "I'm trying to make your day end badly."

I really hope they stop blocking all those sites. They really should unblock the ones they already blocked. Their reasons for blocking are really stupid. How are we going to communicate?

I often felt I was just becoming a worse person. Even today, I still do. However, my reason for not wanting to grow up was the responsibilities and age stereotypes. I could relate to Peter Pan. Some of the ways I see things have changed over the years, but there are still things that remain the same.

It's true that sometimes you can't help not blaming others. For example, if the people are evil, then I would like to blame them.

I have changed my e-mail in the past, and it really was a hassle. First, I had to notify everyone. Then many people just couldn't get the change through their heads, and kept sending e-mail to my old address. That's why I don't want to change my e-mail again, despite so much spam. Besides, in a very short time, my new e-mails would have spam again.

Don't worry about it. I myself have missed out on many comments and replies, especially when I first signed up at LJ and was unfamiliar with it. I eventually chose to receive r-mail alerts on comments and replies so I wouldn't miss out.

My family seems to like utting me down, especially my brother. He is not the supportive type, and is often rude, selfish, and arrogant. My mother says that my father is like that. I find that impatience and bad tempers run in my family. Fortunately, I had to move out for college, and since then, I haven't been living with my family.

I'm glad they've unblocked YouTube, and they better be unblocking more sites. Also they better not block any more. That's a violation of freedom.

It's true that there are things that will always remain the same. If everything changed, we would be lost. As for people's traits, there are unchanging aspects that help determing the personality and character of the individual.

I find those IM services to have many problems, especially when adding people. I'll e-mail my Yahoo ID to you, because I don't want to reveal it in a public area.
