Damn you, ghost...

Soo... I didn't get enough sleep last night. only three hours. THREE DAMN HOURS.
And you know why? because of some stupid ghost rumor which could be true, actually...

It began last Thursday night. I was home alone that night cos my bro was in his rebted room, and my parents were out late. Of course, I spent my time reading fanfics. lol. Around midnight, I heard a dog howling. I thought it was probably Opal, a stray dog in my neighborhood. He had never howled before, so I was wondering if he got injured or what. he sounded like he was crying and I pitied him. around 00.30, I went out to the terrace coz he wouldn't stop howling. In the end, I couldn't really see anything and ot was soooo quiet that night. only the howling and some barking from the dogs owned by a granny (one of them is the one who KILLED Micci... oh Micci... *sobs*)

*cough*

Anyway, I just shrugged it off that night and went on squeeing like a good fangirl should. Since that day, Opal would howl every midnight and my mom started wondering what was wrong. Around Sunday, my mom had a small chit-chat with said granny and when my mom asked if Opal was sick, Granny casually said, "Oh, no. That's because he's seeing ghost. He's scared, that's why he cries."

And I was like, "uh..."

and so Granny went on with his tale, about one of our neighbor was having a friend over that aithful Thursday night, and that the friend was the "gifted" one. Granny said that the friend saw this tall, black creature walking around the street. Granny also said that one of the daughter of some other neighbor (I honestly didn't really know who she was talking about)that has also seen the creature.

Granny said that creature might be looking for a place to stay. around my house, there are many empty houses and empty grounds (the house next to mine is empty, and next to it is a empty space...). I honestly got a goosebumps when I listened to my mom and Granny's conversations. And from then on, I couldn't sleep whenever I heard dogs barking. always around midnight.

With that said, I went to sleep last night after I heard the dogs barking and howling, which mean after midnight. It has been 3 days since I heard that conversation, and I thought I've forgotten about it.

Apparently not.

I had a dream last night. about being next to a ghost. that one didn't feel so real, so although the ghost's face was scary, I wasn't really affected. And then the setting changed. I was sleeping in my bed, and someone was calling to me. I blinked, and turned around (I was facing the wall) but I didn't remember who (or what) I saw. All I could remember was that I was still sooooo sleepy and I could barely open my eyes so I went back to sleep. I'm not sure if this is part of my dream.

The dream continued, and I was in my room again, but this time with my mom. I know this one is really a dream, coz my mom was sleeping in her own room and no way she would be there. She warned me of something but I couldn't remember, and then suddenly, a t-shirt of mine moved on it's own. (well, I have a bad habit of leaving my t-shirt on my chair or desk.. I should clean up my room one of these days...). It moved like it was worn by someone, and that someone was crawling on the floor. only, this someone was transparent that I could only see my t-shirt. and that was it, I was sooo freaked out. Barely realizing that it was a dream albeit still freakingly scary, I recited some prayer in my heart. I prayed, and prayed and prayed...

...Till my eyes blinked open, and I was still praying inwardly. After I fully regain my consciousness and realized I was finally awake, I peeked at my cellphone and it said it was barely 4am.

And I heard the dog barked.

Darn.

So I couldn't go back to sleep, no matter how sleepy I was. I logged in to y!m through my cell and chatted a bit with my ex-classmate who happened to be on. but ot was barely 40 mins and he had to go coz he needed to cook breakfast XD;;
So I decided to browse the tezukafuji comm and found this fic by paranoid_fridge. It was very hilarious that soon, I started giggling like mad in my bed and forget about the damned ghost.

So Mona, although you wrote the fic for lafuego, I am thankful to you for writing and posting it at such a perfect moment for me. *hugs*

Moral of the day: TezuFuji is the remedy of all fears in the world! *smacked*

Well... that's all about it today... I DO hope no ghost would visit me in my dream tonight. or tomorrow night. and the day after...

I did get my computer fixed and buy a new external hard drive, as mentioned in my latest entry.

I hate losing contact with people. I'm glad there's e-mail now to help stay in contact.

I'm not sure if I'll actually write the sequel to "5 Cm Per Second." I only have a few ideas, and it will be hard coming up with more ideas and putting them together. I also have little time.

Sorry if I misunderstood your fic. I guess you meant diarrhea. It was the part about the stomachache and discomfort that made me think vomiting. I can believe Fuji stealing the medicine without getting caught.

That's funny about Captain Tezuka liking purple because of "fuji-iro." I've never heard of that color before.

I only like the pairings that make sense. I have trouble with things that don't make sense.

I've heard people say that pets take after their owners. However, my hamsters usually don't take after me. I guess it also depends on the species of animal.

That's nice of you to take in the kittens. They sound cute and pretty.

Sorry you have a ghost rumor going around and couldn't sleep. I hope all that stops and you can get some sleep.

THAT happened to me O___O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am HIGHLY paranoid about the supernatural, it sometimes gets ridiculous. There are just moments when I think that there's something near me even though I'm alone, and that creeps the crap out of me. It wasn't that long ago, but I remember waking up one night to the sound of my printer, and there was this black figure in the corner of my room, I remember clearly seing "something" standing next to my printer in the corner. And I KNOW it wasn't a dream, because I was trying REALLY hard to wake up and reach for my lap next to my bed to turn it on. OMG It was ridiculous, I knew there was something in my room, and I wanted to turn my lamp on so freaking badly, but my eyes felt like led and my arms just couldn't move properly!!!!!! I couldn't keep my eyes open, no matter how hard I tried, until I just couldn't do it anymore and felt right back to "sleep". When I actually woke up the next morning there was this piece of paper that printed out from my printer just by itself!!!!!!!! I know I wasn't dreaming, that type of feeling is not something that comes from a dream.
And then that part where you talk about dreaming of being next to a ghost, that really brings back horrible memories >_> ..... You see I suffer from sleep apnea, but there are times where I just don't know if what I'm experiencing is the sleep apnea or if it's something else. There was this one time when i woke up and there was this guys sitting next to me. I could only see his back, and I thought at first that it was my dad or something. But something told me wasn't my dad. And suddenly I felt this pressure on my chest, and it was pretty much like sleep apnea, where you can't move or breath or speak. It feels horrible, it's like someone took away your ability to properly function!!!!!! And you know what, that whole thing that you said about you prayed until you up, I do that too, and that helps me; but damn when shit like this happens it's just horrible. And no matter how many times it happens, it always feels as if it were the first time >_> .....

Uh... that figure does not sound like the friendly postman spontaneously deciding to stand to his secret love of gothic clothes. [I was a rather traumatizing encounter at the supermarket recently, where the person quequing in front of me wore a giant chicken costume and the lady behind be a medieval dress ...]

Figures clad in black robes are, I suppose, considered rather unlucky figures globally, so I making friends with it might not be the strategy of the day. Though maybe said dog's howling might prevent it from moving into your neighbourhood (if it's looking for a quiet place). Though please keep me updated. [the local castle ghosts are usually to busy to pay visits to local residents; it's only on April 31 that the entire party moves to a special place.

Anyways, I'm glad the fic did calm you. ^^ Nightmares are generally something that humanity could have done without...

Aw...so that's the reason why you couldn't get much sleep. I'm so sorry to hear that. Hope you'll get some good sleep the following nights.

I dream every night. And I've almost dreamt of everything. Which included something horrible and creepy. I've dreamt of ghosts too. I've once dreamt of my hand had completely cut off and one of my friend just held this bloodstain hand of mine in her hand. And all I did was just asked her why she was holding my hand and requested to have it back. I told this dream to my friends and they were so freaked out. Yet I didn't really feel anything about that. I'm used to dreaming, so nightmares can't really affect me.

Seems I'm just rambling nonsense ^^;. Anyway, I hope you won't see any ghosts or this kind of stuff in your RL. Though I've dreamt a lot about them, I don't want to meet them in RL. So let just hope we won't get to see any of them ever ^^;.

Ah, I read in a psychology book that the state where we're awake but can neither speak nor move called the Sleep Paralysis. It's usually a part of Narcolepsy, but apparently, it also applies to people with sleep apnea? As for me, I'm narcoleptic so I've been having the sleep paralysis ever since I was so young.
This syndrome is usually accompanied by what they call 'hypnagogic hallucination' which often alarming or scary, and feels so awfuly real. Scientifically, the black figure you saw or the several ghosts I've seen during my previous attacks are no more than an illution. Superstitiously, they are really the ghosts that were disturbing us.
The scientific explanation, however, has a flaw. It is said that these attacks are caused by genetics factor and an unknown external factor.
I made a conclusion myself that whatever this unknown external factor interfering with my brain waves during sleep might be a not-really-scientifical cause XP

And I totally agree with you that no matter how many times it happened to me, it always feels like the 1st time. so real, so scary... so freaky and made me panic each time... *sigh*

A giant chicken costume? o.o
XDDD Reminds me of one of our local comedy/romance movie where the main char wore a giant chicken costume so that he could sneak into the girl's class and say 'XXX chicken delivery service!' *inserts a ridiculous song and dance here. 'I love you, Lani' XDDD

*cough* that was out of topic. anyways, no I don't think it's the friendly postman or anyone else that clad in a gothic costume. coz the figure didn't wear any clothings. It's just black. fury and black. and tall and big. my mom suspected it's one of our local ghost called the 'Genduruwo'. it is said to be very ugly, has red eyes and teeth+fangs and it's huge. and did i mention black?

Haha, your local castle ghosts are too busy partying? I wish the ghost here would too. Sadly, there's no castle around here for them to stay so they just wander around the empty houses. and sadly enough, it might be a curse but almost everytime I moved in to a new house, it's always next to an empty house or space. so yeah, I've countered several ghosts in my rooms during the 20 years I live. lolz.

Anyway what happened on April 31? why do they move? XD

As I've been raised by a family that stubbornly wants me to keep with my Chinese heritage, I'm a little more used to Asian ghosts by now, but they're still creepy x)

I went to Massachusetts for an end-of-the-year overnight trip in fifth grade. There, I -- and my schoolmates -- went on this ghost walk thing. During daytime, we visited, on tour, some haunted houses at Plymoth. We stopped occasionally outside buildings, and our guide would tell us the true stories about the ghosts that inhabit the buildings. We'd use our cameras to take pictures, in hope of getting an image of a ghost on film. We stopped outside a court house on First street -- which has been there around the time America was first settled in -- and went into the graveyard across it. There were graves that had been there as long as the street and court house. We walked around in it for a while, and the guide informed us that ghosts haunted the cemetary -- that men would sometimes follow people, especially the girls, and tap them on the shoulder or something. And there were some photos of ghosts shown to us that were taken by other people who went on the tour before us. After the tour, one of my schoolmates swore that she saw a pale ghost at one of the court house windows; and the day after, a teacher and a parent on the trip showed everyone their individual photos -- the teacher got a capture of a random ghost, and the parent showed us her photo of the ghost of a girl named Abigail. From that day forward, my spectrophobia grew to strong paranoia. That's pretty much what happened.

when you dunno it's face and you'll start to imagine it yourself, that's the most scary point if you had a good (but it's not good in this ghost aspect XD) imagination..
i am very very very afraid of ghost.. i've never watch ghost/horror movie after i realised my "ghost-allergic" XD. i will start imagine the face of the ghost after i read of watch something scary...but ironically, 'ghost whisperer' and 'supernature' are my favourite tv series..and vampire too! *smacked*
i know i shouldn't think about it, but apparently i can't control my wild imagination.. *facepalm*

I think it's called Fuji-iro because the flower in Japan is called "Fuji no hana" or the Fuji flower. Maybe it's the Japanese name for Wisteria flower, so that' why the color is called fuji-iro. "Iro" is 'color' in Japanese ^^

ah yes, I guess it depends on the species. One couldn't expect a fish, for one, to resemble the owner now, ne? XD;;
