Well, just a few days ago... I nearly broke my cellphone >_>
as usual, I tend not to look where I walk or where I spill my glass of water... and spilled it to my keyboard and my cellphone...
the amount of the spilled water wasn't much, so I just wiped them off with tissue off of my keyboard and my cellphone.
then, I returned to my computer, reading.
but several minutes later my cellphone went dead. I panicked for a while, and I tried to turned it on. well, it was on, but something was weird. the color display on my cellphone changed. it turned greenish, like if you add more hue to your pic. then I sensed something must have gone wrong. I turned it off again, and then when I turned it on, the color was fading!!
I turned it of again and opened the back-case and pulled out the battery and there was water in it, only a little tho. I wiped them off with another tissue, and tried to turned it on again. now, the color display was normal but... my simcard wouldn't get detected. I was panic. No way my mom would buy me a new cellphone if it's broken out of my stupidity. even my brother still has to bear with his old SE T-150 after his cellphone got stolen.
then I pulled out the simcard and tested it on my mom's cellphone, it was fine. so it was definitely my cellphone that was broken. then out of frustration, I finally told my mom that my cellphone went error. and when she asked why, I honestly answered, "I spilled water on it, and now it's being weird and my simcard can't get detected."
My mom stared at me for a while, before turning her gaze back to he laptop then she said, "Well then just dry it off. put it out in the sun or fan it or blow it with a hairdryer," she said nonchalantly.
I was silent for a while, before I asked, "Will it work?" and she just said. "It got wet right? then just dry it off."
Still unsure, I took out the battery and simcard, and held my cellphone in frint ot the fan for about five minutes, and then when I try to insert the simcard and battery and turned it on... IT WAS NORMAL AGAIN!! XDD
and now, my cellphone is healthy as usual, LoL.

The meme is funny, so I might post it. However, I don't think some of those items are stupid things. Once again, I'm treating it like a game.
I hope your father will be out of your way often, or just stop it with his unreasonable ways.
I didn't read the questions carefully either, and also misread Question 4. I later had to change it.
I really wish the ending was better. It could use lots of improvement. At least make a ending that wouldn't tear me apart.
I have also read fanfics where Kikumaru is smart. I hate it when people make him stupid. I also hate it when people make Fuji evil and Captain Tezuka as a power abuser. I've also read fanfics where Kaidou calls Momoshiro "Stupid Peach" and "Baka Peach."

Date: 2008-04-30 03:20 pm (UTC)If that happens again, try sticking your phone in a bag of rice. Rice absorbs water, so any moisture should go to the grains instead of staying in your phone. Blow drying it works too, but prolonged exposure to heat like a blow dryer can also damage the phone, so rice is a bit safer. :3
As for stupid things, I can think of few....
1. Laughing with half an eaten peppermint in your mouth and subsequently swallowing mint mid-laugh.
2. Riding a horseback and simply sliding AFTER the horse stops and there is no real cause for you to fall.
3. Tripping over your own feet in tennis and landing face down in the cement with your butt in the air (in a tennis skirt no less).
4. Loosing your socks after you just laid them out next to you.
5. Wearing your shirt backwards all day and only realizing it when a friend points it out between fifth and sixth periods.

Yeah, they said that maybe Konomi was forced to end it hurriedly coz the rating is decreasing, that's why the ending is too abrupt. too bad though. I think if he was given at least one more chapter, he could've done better, ne?
hahah, I can tolerate evil!Fuji for crack fics, but I like it more when Fuji is described as such an enigma (and I'm still trying to find a way of how to portray Fuji better.) both Tezuka and Fuji are complicated beings, so I don't see them as only purely evil or purely stoic and abusive with his power.

I treat surveys and personality tests like games. To me, they are just for fun.
I heard that Shonen Jump would no longer publish PoT, and wanted Konomi to quickly finish the manga. Still, instead of dragging out that last match for 10 chapters, he could have spent some of it on a better ending. Besides, that whole amnesia thing messed it up. Maybe that was partly what decreased the rating. He never should have put in that amnesia thing. If he left that out, he would have had room to make a better ending.
Many PoT characters are complicated. I just hate it when people make good characters evil. I can't stand it when characters are OOC in a bad way, such as having less manners than in the original works. All this insults the characters, and I don't like that. However, I like OOC in a good way, such as more manners than in the original. Sorry, but I look very heavily on personality.
Good luck writing all those fanfics!
