Yes, sorry, I'm so spamming your F-List today... but the other two are fics, so... this is my RANT OF THE WEEK! LOLz.

So... I know my fellow Indonesians might have bored with this topic, but really.. I didn't get the chance to rant, before, so please let me rant about NABURO? *puppy eyes*

For those who still don't know--though this has already become the topic in International forum as well--NABURO is a plagiarism of Naruto... or something. I'm not a Naruto fan, but this thing is... a total disgrace...

So anyway, this entry is basically me making fun of the EPIC FAIL-ness of whoever the author who thinks of themselves as a professional comic artist but could only came up with something like this. demonessryu said she also wanted to rant and so I'm posting this for her, also for bakafia_kawaii who wanted to know the LoLz but didn't want to touch this... thing...

By the way, there's someone kind enough to scanlate this thing so that non-Indonesian speakers can understand this and have a good laugh. All images posted here are taken from said scanlation--only up to chapter 4 so far--which could be found here: http://flooone.blogspot.com/

The ever-epic Author's Note. I have no idea what they have been researching for two years that resulted into this...thing... And it is said that it was done to CONTINUE Kishimoto-sensei's dream... I don't know what Kishimoto's dreams are, but I'm pretty sure they don't include getting his work plagiarized >.>

This is Koharumaru, Naburo's father (so we know that Naburo isn't even Naruto's son XDD).

The interesting fact about Koharumaru is that he has many different faces. Literally.

So yeah, the artwork constantly changes in each page! I don't know of Koharumaru's (and his wife's) hair is supposed to be black or not, coz the colors keep changing.

...and you know what, they actually copy some scenes from other mangas... like (I heard) The Impeccable Twins (a manhua(?) from China), Great Teacher Onizuka, Slam Dunk...

Oh well... the petition to take this trash down is ongoing. I hope they will stop publishing craps like this.legally. I mean, COME ON!! There are many talented artists in Indonesia who want to publish their comics but find it hard because some publisher thought they aren't commercial enough--though now we have a publisher that takes in local comics and publish them--but publishing this thing is just... ugh...Even I can do better than this D:

I heard it's already out up till vol.4, and the price is TWICE the original Naruto manga published here--which is published by a different publisher than this, by the way.

Really... what people would do for money... >.>

---On a completely different (and random) note... I thik I lost some weights, yay! The jeans that wouldn't fit no matter what when I tried a few months back, can now slip easily up my hips and settle nicely around my belly XDD
I guess being kind of depressed and losing a bit of appetites has its benefits, lol

Soal Naburo, ya. Emang topik ini lagi rame dibicarain di forum manapun. Banyak fans Naruto yg ngamuk dengan adanya komik plagiat ini. Bahkan banyak yg menyumbang petisi untuk menghentikan Naburo. malah ada yg cemas, kalo Jepang sampe tahu hal ini, Naruto bakal stop terbit di sini.

I think I read somewhere that Naburo copied arts from Slam Dunk, Initial D, shoujou manga, and Chinese manhua. I'll try to look for the pic again but it's pretty obvious that it's fail.

Anyway, this actually raised a question on plagiarism because apparently there's parody law where it's not plagiarism if the original title/characters' names/etc aren't mentioned so I don't know about Naburo. Though this is obviously a plagiarized version of Naruto, it might actually be legal. Someone with knowledge on law should check though.

Regarding Shueisha, I actually think that there's no need to worry. It's not like this is the first time Indonesia has plagiarized something from East Asia and so far they haven't done anything. I doubt they would pursue a law suit on this or even withdraw Naruto from Indonesia. We have pretty decent manga market so they can't possibly want to miss that.

However, I think there's a chance that the mangakas whose arts are being imitated to sue. It's happened before with several Japanese mangaka where they were sued or at least got into problem with law because they (seem) to have copied the poses of pictures from some magazines without giving credit. The author of Slam Dunk once sued because of this and there are at least two yaoi mangakas I know who stopped working for a while due to law suit.

So bottom line is... Naburo sucks but unfortunately there's probably gonna be no legal moves done against this.

Also.... where's the damn petition to get Naburo out of the shelves??

I've heard about the parody law. But even then, Naburo DID mention 'The NextGen NARUTO' below the title so it could be sued.

Yeah, even the mangaka of DGM had to put her work into hiatus when she had to deal with that kind of lawsuit. So perhaps if the original mangakas (not only Kishimoto but all of whose arts are copied) knew about this, they would WANT to sue... >.>

Geh. Pathetic. As if the plagiarism isn't bad enough, the copying-artwork-thing sure is a big NO-NO...

Anyway... the ones that will probably sue are those whose art are copied. Since you can only see a little of Kishimoto's art, he might not do anything. On the other hand, this person does copy Kishimoto's design so...

Ugh... maybe they thought it was funny? Just a 'fine' parody? Because I can't believe that this thing could be done seriously... but then again, if it's a parody, one could have made it more elegant and funny =_= so mocking at Kishimoto's manga they ended with making fun of themselves.
Well, I hope that the 4th volume will be the last one D:
the more disappointing is that, as you say, good comics are not published =_="
(btw, we in Russia have some sort of plagiarized Harry Potter. It's called Tanya Grotter and is also very creepy. There was a scandal with it, but as far as I know, it keeps going T_T)
