And even though this is like, almost made of total fluff, but I think the fluff and dorkiness and that itty-bitty angst you slipped in was well-balanced and makes this fun to read! xDDDD
Regardless of how much I love Yullen dynamics here, I think what's quite exceptional in this chapter is the dynamics between Allen-Lenalee and Allen-Lavi-Kanda. Seriously, that convo about Kanda's name was made of TOTAL WIN xDDDD It made me rofl-ing. And you know that's literal. xDDDD I love Lavi here, the portrayal of his mature side as a librarian and bookman apprentice was well-balanced with his cheeky, playful side and--god, WHY DO I FIND HIM SO ONIICHAN-LIKE WITH ALLEN IN HERE? Totally cute. And Lenalee asuasukdhakshdi OMG OMG OMG I LOVE YOUR LENALEE <3 She makes me want to shout out "Heck yeah, atta girl!" at times in her convo with Allen. It's--I dunno, the way she's just so perceptive like Lavi, but unlike Lavi who seems to understand but choose to not say anything unnecessary (which I found cool, btw,in regards to his job here xD), Lenalee has her own way to tease Allen, and at the same time, makes Allen faintly realize that Kanda is important to him. I love the way you reason why Allen likes to be with Kanda, because it makes much more sense when you combined it with all the scenes you've wrote up there. It's like a good wrap of the chapter's atmosphere. I mean, if it wasn't Kanda, I doubt Allen would have a fight over book titles, or over nick names, or stuff like that. It's--it's cute and dorky and stupid and endearing at the same time it's pretty ridiculous. xDDDDDD But that's how they've always been, so <333333333 God I love them~~~~!!
My favorite part would be the beansprout drawing. Shoot, I won't be able to eat beansprout without laughing now, neesan xDDDD Kebayang langsung aja gimana mukanya Allen pas liat tuh gambar =)) =)) Don't ever doodle it up for real, okay? I really won't be able to eat beansprouts if you do. xDDDDD
The angst you slipped in was pretty much <3. It's just the exact amount for this chapter to balance the dorky fluff. It makes a good transition between the summer and the ending, too. I love how sympathetic Lavi and Lenalee are, and I love how Allen was kind of "Oh-well, it's just a summer memory." It makes the ending all the more awww-able. <3333333333333
I think this is definitely a solid foundation for the rest of the chapters. The easy familiarity would be logical with this chapter as a foundation, since they've known each other and knew that both throws the other's rhythm off. <33333
And those "baka moyashi" and "BaKanda" rendering? YOU WIN. xDDDDDDDDDD I rolf-ed at Kanda protesting about Allen butchering his native language. =)) Oh, those dorks. <3
